Frequently Ask Questions

What Are Your Hours?
Weekdays 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Where are you located?
We are at 3518 East Rancier Ave., 1/4 mile east of East Lake Shopping Center, across from the Long Branch Park entrance. Look for our sign that displays the Time and Temperature.

Do you see pets by appointment only, or will you also accept walk-ins?
To see one of the doctors, we accept walk-ins or pre made appointments. Grooming services do require an appointment, which are available Monday-Friday 8am to 3pm, and Saturday 8am to noon. Boarding is by appointment only.

Do you offer boarding?
Yes, we do. Canine guests are housed in runs and have exercise and playtime twice daily. Visiting cats are kept in their own ward away from barking dogs. When you board your pet with us he or she will receive a complementary bath before returning home. All pets in the boarding facility must be current on their vaccinations. We will be happy to update them prior to admission. Advanced reservations and a deposit are required.

What plants are dangerous to my pet?

Protect your pet from the dangers of holiday plants, which can be poisonous to both pets and humans: Easter lilies, holly, mistletoe, and poinsettias. Other common houseplants that can hurt your pet include philodendron, dieffenbachia, Jerusalem cherry, yew, caladium, spider plant, airplane plant, cyclamen, foxglove, dragon tree, azalea, rhododendron, mother-in-law's tongue, and ivies.

Why should I spay/neuter my pet?
Neutering your pet is one of the best things you can do for him/her. Intact female dogs and cats can suffer from infections of the reproductive system as they get older, while male dogs and cats can suffer from prostate problems. Cancers of the reproductive system are difficult to detect and spread quickly, and the risk to the intact dog or cat of developing such cancers increases with age.
